Sector: North Wales Fire Service
Background: North Wales Fire Service ran a time and motion study on control room staff and the result thereof was astounding. Up to 30% of their shift involved making and receiving calls from appliances and officers reporting their status namely available, off duty, at incident etc
Requirement: North Wales Fire Service required a system for Officers and appliances that utilised existing GSM equipment to update the status of the officer or appliance remotely and delivered the updated status to the command and control software in the control room transparently
Solution: Fleetrac developed the FT StaTrac a system which receives, interprets information via any DTMF enabled handset, regarding role and status via a series of SQL codes and automatically updates on their command and control software enabling the control staff to manage mission critical events efficiently, effectively and transparently
